Protection
Mission
These kits give the armoured vehicles in service the capability to protect themselves:

against small
and medium-calibre threats up to the 35 mm calibre (any 12.7 mm AP rounds, and
any 25, 30 and 35 mm AP - APDS - APFSDS medium-calibre round): Add-on ballistic
passive armour kits KSBP. Such protection is provided under the best weight conditions
with an excellent multi-impact resistance.

against blast
effect mines and shaped charge mines (type TMRP6): Mine protection kits KPAM.
The lightweight and compact size of these kits allow to keep all the mobility
capabilities.
Specifications
The modularity of such kits provides for ease of installation on any vehicles
and takes into account the threat level/weight/cost requirements.
These kits incorporate the latest technologies by combining:

materials
such as ceramics and composites, as well as metal materials such as high-performance
aluminium alloys, very high hardness steel plates and titanium alloys (KSBP),

an optimised
architecture with light materials featuring high energy absorption capabilities,
whether under the wheel, under the track or under the floor (KPAM).
They provide protection against threats meeting the STANAG 4569 standard.
