Home Press GIAT Industries et SNPE ont décidé d’engager, avec le soutien de l’Etat, actionnaire à 100% des deux sociétés, des discussions en vue de leur rapprochement.

GIAT Industries and SNPE have decided, with the support of the French State, the sole shareholder of both companies, to enter into discussions with a view to bringing them together.

This operation should make it possible to bring together, within a same entity and while respecting their respective strategies, customers and markets, the complementary activities of the two groups in the munitions field and to rationalise the management of the State and environmental matters stemming from the history of the two groups. It should take place in 2013 in the form of a bringing together of the two groups around GIAT Industries.
