Our mission
Nexter Training, supports people who are in charge of learning transmission : we are specialized in teaching engineering, and we use therefore our application GVT ® (Generic Virtual Training).
The services offered by Nexter Training aim to facilitate access to information, to the competence available in any place and to propose innovative training concepts.

Pedagogy and Virtual Reality
Training enables the transmission of knowledge and expertise to the teams using equipment and personnel responsible for its maintenance.
To achieve these objectives, our training services design, develop, deploy and maintain systems of training adapted to the needs expressed by customers.
In the context of advanced systems, the definition of the objectives of training must include several groups of constraints:
• More sophisticated environments and systems, increasing need for expertise (no room for amateurism)
• Lower quantity of equipment, environment difficult to access, less availability for training,
• More scalable hardware (resulting from the treatment of obsolete electronics in particular), Updating knowledge more frequent and therefore more costly,
• Weights of times between training and operational tasks, simultaneous formation of a maximum number of students,
• Dangerous intervention Requires multiple handling safely.
The contribution of the virtual environment, combined to  simulation potential, meet high expectations of pedagogy.
Virtual Reality in training allows:
• adjust easily the balance "theory / practice" to the needs of each student,
• reduce training costs, by "reduction / elimination" of the use of real resources,
• eliminate the risk of injury accidents,
• remove the hazardous equipment handling,
• to script all forms of learning depending on the complexity required,
• preserve and capitalize on specific and rare skills.
The traditional tools of training such as lectures, paper or electronic documentation, the Computer Assisted Instruction bring mainly knowledge.
Traditionally, the acquisition and maintenance of skills are through the practice, either on a simulator or on real hardware. GVT®, with its immersive ability, presents itself as an alternative to learn a skill, it complements the traditional tools of training and improves the flexibility of educational schedules.

Virtual Reality Training with Nexter Training

Nexter Training is a subsidiary of the Nexter group. Since its creation in 2009, Nexter Training has been developing interactive virtual reality training tools for maintenance operations, troubleshooting and the implementation of complex systems.

These training projects mainly concern armed forces and military vehicles, and the transport (SNCF), energy (Total) and aeronautical (Dassault Aviation, Airbus Helicopters, MBDA) sectors.

Nexter Training features a team of 14 specialists providing expertise in software engineering, graphics and instructional design.

Over 200 training modules have been delivered so far including scenarios for the operation of the CAESAR® and maintenance of the VBCI and the Leclerc tank. Nexter Training uses and edits GVT® software to produce a wide variety of these modules and create virtual reality contents.

Nexter Training is located in the Nexter center in Satory.
